Hannah Anderson

Looking for the perfect winter hat for your child? Look no further-
The Hannah Anderson Pilot Cap is the best hat I've come across.
Last year my daughter spent most of the fall and all winter wearing one.

I loved that it completely covered her ears. It's not very thick, so if it was VERY cold I would either put her hood up, or put a knit cap over it.
Knit caps alone were never good because they didn't cover her ears, which is why I love the Pilot Cap, and the fact that it ties under their chin keeps them from pulling it off.
It comes in a variety of great colors, and it is made of organic cotton.

I went to a Hannah Anderson store this fall to buy some more Pilot Caps, and discovered that they now make a winter lined version too. I could not be happier.
The pilot Cap is now perfect for the winter.

Hannah Anderson makes a bunch of other great apparel for babies, kids, and adults too.
Check out their organic cotton onesies. They come in great colors, and the crotch has double snaps, so your baby gets longer wear out of it.

Under The Nile

My husband and I are big hippies. Almost everything we eat or put on our bodies is Organic.
So, of course, when my daughter came along, I went organic crazy.

I was especially concerned about her toys, because I knew she would put everything in her mouth. That's why I was so happy that we received the Under The Nile Veggies and Crate as a gift.
It's everything you are looking for in a baby toy- organic, soft, no small parts, cute, and machine washable.
It includes 4 different vegetables- a carrot, a mushroom, a tomato, and a string bean.

My daughter's favorite has always been the carrot.

High Tea

When we brought my daughter home from the hospital she was quite small (5 lbs 10 oz.) and she was swimming in most baby clothes, so I bought her some of their preemie clothes and they were great..

They sell a lot of other great products too.
I love giving their products as gifts.

On Tray

Until recently trips to the supermarket with my toddler were a nightmare. She would whine and point at the food on the shelves, and cry if I didn't give them to her. I have had to rip open bags of carrots, crackers, and even had to pour water on strawberries to wash them off in the middle of the produce isle, all to prevent tantrums.
Then I found On Tray. It's a little tray that attaches to the shopping cart and holds snacks. I pack it with snacks before we leave the house and throw it in my bag.
It's bisphenol free, microwave safe, comes in four different colors, and is dishwasher safe.

Shopping has been so much more enjoyable since we got our On Tray.

Halo Organic Sleep Sack

When my daughter Willa was about three months old we had to stop using her swaddle blanket, because she kept busting out of it.
She was too young for a regular blanket, and I still wanted something to snuggle her up in. That's when I discovered the Halo Organic Sleep Sack.
It's a blanket that your baby wears. My favorite part is that the zipper zips from top to bottom, so the zipper isn't near baby's face or hands.
Willa wears hers every night (even in the summer- we keep her room cool).
She is currently wearing the medium size, and is about to grow out of it. I can't find a large one. If anyone knows where I can find a large one please leave me a comment or send me an email.*

*Updated- Found. One of my readers just emailed me a link to this.

Be Curly

You might not believe this, but I didn't know I had curly hair until a few years ago.
I was brushing it, and putting it in a ponytail, and it was a frizzy mess.
Finally a hair stylist said to me "you know you have curly hair, right?"
I had no idea.
Curly hair is hard enough to deal with for someone who's had it their whole life . I had no idea what to do with it. I tried gel, but it was too crunchy. I tried serums, but they made my hair greasy.
Finally, I discovered Aveda Be Curly Curl Enhancer. It's a cream, so it doesn't leave my hair crunchy or greasy. I just smooth some through my hair when it's wet and scrunch it a bit with my head upside down. Then I just let it air dry.
Not only does it work better than any other product I've tried, but the ingredients are all natural, and Aveda makes a real commitment to the environment.
Plus, when my bottles are empty I take them to my local Aveda store and they recycle them.

On days when I don't want my hair down, I use Aveda Hang Straight Straightening Lotion. While my hair is still wet I smooth some on, then I comb it through, then I put my hair in a french twist and secure it with a clip. When I take my hair down I have soft waves, and Hang Straight does a good job of taming fly-aways.

Isa Booties

When my daughter Willa was an infant I struggled to find her non leather booties. Then I found Isa Booties. Not only are they free of animal products, but they are actually adorable too. The best thing about them? They are machine washable.
Willa wore them all fall, winter, and spring long. They are not really meant for walking, but I just bought Willa (who is 16 months) another pair to use as slippers.
